Come one, come all to the MCA’s 2025 Summer Outing in Bozeman August 12-14, 2025! Take some time out of your busy schedule to catch up on industry issues, connect with your peers, and enjoy some much-needed R&R. Our host golf course this year will be Bridger Creek Golf Course, featuring views of the Bridger Mountains for a fun, yet challenging 18-hole course. Our shooting events will be held at the Gallatin Sporting Clays. This year’s Summer Outing format is different that years past, with golfing and shooting events taking place on Wednesday & Thursday.
Thank You Summer Outing Sponsors!
Please help us in recognizing the sponsorship efforts of the following MCA members! Without their continued support, the MCA would not be able to continue bringing the high level of value to our Summer Outing participants:
Summer Outing Member Activities

CLC Cornhole Tournament: Compete for your chance to be crowned the MCA cornhole champion! The MCA’s Construction Leadership Council (CLC) is inviting all Summer Outing participants to join in on the fun during their annual cornhole tournament. The bag tossing starts at 5:00pm during the Tuesday evening reception on August 12th. There is a small entry fee, and the winners walk away with a cash prize! The CLC is dedicated to developing the future leaders of Montana’s construction industry. With meetings several times a year across the state, the CLC provides its members with opportunities to develop their leadership and communication skills, network with other construction professionals, and develop relationships with their peers.

Golf Scramble & Best Ball: With views of the Bridger Mountains and beautiful Bridger Creek flowing throughout the course, Bridger Creek Golf Course has been the site of two U.S. Amateur tournaments. The course will host the MCA Summer Outing scramble and Best Ball competition this year. Tune up your game during Wednesday’s opening round and submit your individual score to be eligible for Best Ball prizes. During Thursday’s scramble, foursomes will be set using golfer handicaps and Wednesday scores. Trophies are awarded to the MCA’s winning scramble team during Thursday’s BBQ at the conclusion of the event. On course prizes will be awarded for each hole, and make sure you visit with MCA member hole sponsors as they will be handing swag, snacks and beverages during your rounds.

Sporting Clays Shooting: Touted as one of the best shooting venues in the Pacific Norhtwest, Gallatin Sporting Clays is nestled right outside of Three Forks and offers breathtaking views of the Bridger, Tobacco Root, and Gallatin Mountains. For our MCA members that would prefer to spend a couple days blasting away at some orange clays rather than chasing around a white golf ball, this is the event for you! Stick around for Thursday’s “Annie Oakley” competition to find out who is the sharpest shooter in the Association. Trophies are awarded to top two-person team. Afterwards, shooters are invited to head over to Bridger Creek Golf Course for more prizes and the Thursday BBQ.

Wednesday Evening Banquet & Calcutta: After Wednesday’s activities, participants and attendees will gather at the BW GranTree Inn for an evening of entertainment, including a reception, banquet, competitions, raffle, and the main event – the Calcutta. Golf and trap teams will be announced and auctioned off to the highest bidders. Remember — you must have cash to participate in the Calcutta! The MCA Associates Division is responsible for putting on the Summer Outing, and all proceeds generated are used to fund the Associates Presidential Scholarships for high school graduates and current college undergraduates. This year, the Associates awarded twelve scholarships in the amount of $2,000 each to recipients whose parents or guardians are members of the MCA.
Putting Competition, Raffle, Heads & Tails, and more!
Back again this year is the Putting Competition! During Wednesday’s round, each player will have one attempt at the designated putt setup on the practice putting green. Each player that makes the designated putt will qualify for a more difficult putt on Thursday. If one player makes Thursday’s putt, they will take home $1,000! If one or more players makes the putt, they will split $1,000 in cash prize (i.e. if one player makes, they win $1,000, if two players make the putt, they each win $500, and so forth). If no players make the putt on Thursday, then the player with the putt that comes to rest closest to the hole will win a $100 cash prize. In addition, Summer Outing participants also have the chance to walk away as winners during Wednesday evening’s Associates gun raffle, as well as the hilarious Heads & Tails competition!
