2026 Summer Outing FAQs

As the Summer Outing event has grown in popularity, MCA staff and board members field a variety of questions. Because of some changes made to this year’s registration and sponsorships, it’s more important than ever for our members to get as much information as possible:

Doesn’t the Summer Outing event cater more to Associate members rather than General Contractors?
How many people from my company are allowed to register for golf?

To be fair to all MCA members and to have as many members participate as possible, a maximum of four (4) people from each MCA member company are allowed to register. Those participants must also be employees of your company.

If my company already has the maximum number of allowed golfers registered, can members of my company play on other teams?

No – during the initial registration period, only four members per company will be allowed to register for golf. We encourage members who have more than four people who wish to attend the Summer Outing to consider registering for a separate event, such as trap shooting or pickleball. In the event that we have open spots after the registration period closes, we will consider allowing additional participants from your company for golf.

Do I need to be an experienced shooter to register for the trap shooting activity?

No! We encourage shooters of all levels to participate. Never shot before but would like to give it a try? Come out and get help from the group.

Are there sponsorship opportunities that include Summer Outing registrations?

Yes! For the first time ever, the MCA is offering a sponsorship that guarantees two (2) golfing registrations. The premium Hole Host sponsorship will allow you to have people from your company run a booth on one of the golf holes, while two others golf. The sponsorship will be priced at a premium and include the cost of two full registrations. This is the only sponsorship that includes registrations!

Are the premium Hole Host sponsorships available to anyone?

No – all Hole Host sponsorships are available to Associate members only.

Can Associates give their premium Hole Host golfing spots to customers/other members?

Associate members can give their golfing spots to customers provided that they are current MCA members, and that it does not increase the number of golfers per member if they have already reached the maximum number of four golfers per company.

How many premium Hole Host sponsorships will be available?

Only seven (7) of these sponsorship opportunities will be available when sponsorship registration open.

Are non-members allowed to participate in the Summer Outing, even if I invite them to attend on my company’s behalf?

No. The Summer Outing is an MCA member only event. The reason for this is that MCA members pay a premium for their membership, and allowing non-members to participate would dilute the value of being a member.
